Imagination Library of Centre County is a Book Gifting Program that mails a new book each month to children from birth to age 5 who live in Centre County.
9 to 5 | Give Like Dolly Day
On September 25, The Dollywood Foundation is introducing
Give Like Dolly Day — a new annual tradition created to honor Dolly’s generous heart and her lifelong commitment to children.
For more than 30 years, Dolly’s dream has helped put books into the hands and hearts of children around the world.
In the weeks since Dolly’s passing, we’ve witnessed an extraordinary outpouring of love, gratitude and support from people around the world.
Give Like Dolly Day is an opportunity to turn that love into action by giving back to children and communities, just as Dolly did throughout her life. We’re inviting people everywhere to support organizations doing meaningful work for children where they live — beginning right here with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Centre County program!
Dolly Parton believed deeply in giving back and helping children dream bigger. Here in Centre County, her extraordinary legacy continues through the more than 1,500 children across 28+ municipalities who receive a free, high-quality Imagination Library book every month.

Register a Child
Books are mailed in the child's name directly to their home. The first book each child receives is the children's classic The Little Engine That Could. The child can remain in the program until their 5th birthday. There are no eligibility or income requirements - and no cost or obligation to the family! All children living in Centre County - under the age of 5 - are eligible to be in the program.
